Inflation Reduction Act

We at Green Guys Mechanical are letting you know about the exciting news surrounding the Inflation Reduction Act, passed in August 2022. This act has some major benefits for homeowners looking to upgrade their HVAC systems and reduce their energy usage, and we’re here to help you take advantage of them.

Inflation Reduction Act - Green Guys Mechanical

First and foremost, the Inflation Reduction Act includes a federal tax credit for homeowners who invest in energy-efficient HVAC systems. This tax credit, which is worth up to $1,200 (starting in 2023), can be used to offset the cost of purchasing and installing a new HVAC system, making it more affordable for homeowners to upgrade to a more efficient model.

The same is true of instant rebates if you’re eligible. You can receive the most from AC and heat pump rebates in Ontario, Webster, and Fairport, NY, so you may consider purchasing these systems if you’re upgrading.

But that’s not all—the Inflation Reduction Act also provides rebates for those who reduce their energy consumption! You must reduce it by at least 20% to be eligible.
